Description: Refurbishment of Tip Extension Assembly Scope of Work: Collection of units from DP Yard Jebel Ali Carry out the visual inspection and strip down of tip extension Strip down of all the mechanical components such as sheaves, pins etc Carryout the general examination for any corrosion and worn outs of all the pins, guard, spacers, sheaves, pin bore, steel section sections. Sand blast the surface cleanliness to SA2.5 for the complete inspection of the boom sections Carryout visual inspection for any corrosion, wear, and damages Conduct 100% MPI on all plates weld joints on the tip , Sheave cases and Pins Section – 5.2 Boom Tip Extension Assembly Ref – RR#78256, there is weld defect found, this need to be further inspected and repaired. Carry out the Ultrasonic gauges thickness on plates to identify material loss and degree of corrosion at regular intervals. Prepare a detailed Inspection Report covering the inspection, recommendation of repair as per OEM & overhauls and submit for
